In March 2009 I made a journey to paradise. Actually, the journey was to Capetown, South Africa. With the World Cup two months away, the city was in a state of transformation. There was an atmosphere of celebration and anticipation. But I was there for quite another purpose. Nestled away in a series of elaborate homes and boutique hotels were 27 Bel Ami boys, the largest number ever traveled to a distant location for shooting. And shoot we did. This book, in a large and lavish format, tells a series of beautiful, intimate stories about the boys and their complex relationships.
