It started with a letter from an adorable Parisian who liked my work and wanted to be photographed by me.  Somehow, this one letter written on loose leaf paper had the power to pull me straight to Paris and then pull both of us right back to San Francisco.  The result is PICTURES OF FRED, an in-depth photo essay about a remarkable young man who talks to animals and openly celebrates every aspect of his physicality.
