My relationship with John, Gary and Kris from THREE extends well beyond that book, as do my photographs of them. Over the years since THREE was published, I have looked for ways to bring some of these other photos to light and this book is one of the ways. I introduced Kris to John and Gary in 1994, after they had been together for seven years. Kris was almost 10 years their junior. I've had the privilege to watch him grow and evolve in the years since. This book examines Kris' evolution from the time I met him as a rather reserved young man, through his blossoming and maturing as part of a very unconventional relationship. I guess it is really a photo journal of a boy becoming a man, as well as a stranger becoming a friend.
